My granddaughter, Isobel Fielding, was in intensive care in the Newcastle Royal Infirmary Hospital. She is 17 years old. She has crossed many hurdles since she was born.
Isobel has 2 rods down her spine to stem her growth. She is 5 feet 10 inches tall and very thin. She has worn special shoes since she was born. Also, she has had 4 heart operations. She was critically ill and failing fast.
Isobel was due to have another major heart operation before Christmas. She had a brain bleed and a secondary bleed. Her mother is a nurse and was at her side in hospital for the past month.
A friend in Ireland sent me St Veronica’s healing oil. I was delighted to receive it on December 8th, the feast of the Immaculate Conception. Veronica is the patron saint for bleeding.
I brought the oil in to Isobel. She responded and asked for a drink of water. The doctors were surprised and said it was a great sign of hope. Since that day she has steadily improved to the amazement of the doctors.
They have now cancelled the heart operation and she is allowed to go home for Christmas. The family think that this is a big miracle. We are continuing to pray for her complete recovery.
